The 5th & 6th graders attended the Ag Safety Day in Kenmare on March 20th! They learned about a variety of topics like the dangers of vaping, hunting safety, tractor and ATV safety, CPR and electricity.
Hooray!
All the students from K-6 got a Blue-Ribbon (superior rating) from the Burke County Music Festival held in Bowbells School. They were able to perform their hearts out and got good comments from the judges.

Six Burke Central speakers attended the Glenburn Invitational Speech Meet on Saturday, March 9. Gunner Imsland (freshman) placed 2nd in Entertain and 4th in Humorous. Fernanda Raudales (junior) placed 8th in Storytelling and competed in Dramatic. Addie Nelson (8th grade) placed 8th in Extemp Speaking
Due to weather and road conditions, Burke Central will have a two-hour late start tomorrow morning. Buses will run where possible, and no breakfast will be served. We will evaluate road conditions in the morning, and we will let you know if anything changes.

The Burke County Spelling Bee was today. These were our Burke Central participants. Corbin B. was the runner-up and gets to go to the State Spelling Bee in March!! Way to go!!
