Congratulations to the Bowbells-Burke Central Drama team for placing 2nd at Regionals. Gunner I. received a Superior Acting award and Mya W. received an Honorable Mention.



BC high school students attended the Minot Area Career Expo on Wednesday. They had the opportunity to engage with a variety of career options and they took advantage of it.

Today Burke Central's 9-12 toured the Portal Port of Entry. Thank you SCBPO Buick for organizing such an interesting and engaging learning experience for our students and staff.






Due to the icy road conditions and snow forecast for this evening, Burke Central School will have a 2-hour late start tomorrow, October 27, 2023. Buses will run where possible. Breakfast will not be served.

Due to current road and weather conditions, Burke Central school will be closed today, October 26th. We will instead have a virtual instruction day. Please have students complete Day 1 of their virtual instruction packet. Stay safe!

Today's Lunch Talk was Michael Barnhardt, a Program Element Manager in the Game Changing Development Program at NASA. Thank you Mrs.Rick for organizing this amazing visit. If you would like to do a Lunch Talk about your career, please reach out to Mrs. Rick or Mrs. Buick.


On Friday the 13th, the 5th & 6th graders went to Wildwood Park and Hygge Hills. They hiked about 2 miles, enjoyed the trails, and then headed over to Hygge Hills for crafts and more fun activities!




Burke Central high school students attended T4 Summit in Parshall this week. They got hands on experience in several industries and learned of job opportunities available in our area.







The Burke Central School Board will meet tomorrow, October 11th, at 7 p.m. in the Burke Central School library. Meetings are open to the public.

Thank you to the Lignite Fire Department for coming in and educating us on fire safety and the Junior Firefighter program. Every student got to take home a smoke alarm and we even got to have a little fun!
